Engine Mounts
Most OEM engine mounts are manufactured in soft rubber to reduce all vibrations between the engine and the chassie. This works fine with standard performance and easy driving, but when you tune the engine, the load increases.
With too soft mounts the engine starts to move heavily. Rather often downpipes cracks, bolts come off, you get wheel bounces and shifting problems occurs.
Our engine mounts are manufactured in steel, stainless steel and aluminum. We also use neopren and polyurethan, which are available in different hardness and are much more robust then original.
This is by no meaning a solid mounting of the engine. Solid mounting rather often overfatigue the chassie and bolt assemblage. Not to speak of the vibrations! |
