Rear Beam Shims
These shims mounts between the rear axle and the spindle and are used for adjustment of camber angle on cars with unadjustable rear axle. This often gives better handling and faster cornering.
The shims can also be used to prevent the tire to touch the fender, a very common problem for lowered cars with wide tires.
For example is the top of a 205/50-18 tire moved about 5mm closer to the body with a 1,0° shims. |
